Composing for two guitars naturally offers plenty of scope, especially in the sense of being able to expand the use of harmonies, to play freely with themes and imitations and to create, in short, a multicoloured and fluid dialogue. At the same time, when composing Pinceladas I wanted to imagine the two guitars merging into one instrument and melodies and harmonies flowing from the same source, in order to keep their characteristic simplicity intact, which is precisely where the secret and irresistible charm of the guitar and its power to captivate lies.

I imagined the awakening of spring, that moment when the fields and nature are adorned with the colours brought by the arrival of the flowering season.
