This is a subjective perspective of war between east and west in which the flute represents the more eastern culture and the piano the most western, revealing the points of tension between the two, while at the same time finding their points of encounter.
Written in 1996, this work was débuted the same year at Veruela’s Contemporary Music Festival by Cristiano Becherucci and Gianfranco Cellachi. The CD features Chic’s Atisbos. Performers: Teresa Sánchez (piano) and Ricardo Pérez (flute).
