The subject of the gestuality, from the expressive point of view, is little habitual in the frame of the musical education, although on the other hand, every day we see a greater number of interpreters to use this resource. And in parallel, we see new ways of establishing greater communication with the public, resorting to scenery, humor and, ultimately, to the awareness of the acting aspect of the musician.
Gesture enhances the channel of communication, the flow of emotions and sensations that is established between the interpreter and the audience, a magical process that can be called "the spirit of live".
This book, which includes 530 music videos, I focused on piano students and professional pianists to consider the importance of gestures in the art of interpretation. But later I thought it was a pity that these ideas could not reach the other musicians and the music fans in general; for that reason, I have written another parallel book with certain common parts and that I have titled El gesto expresivo del músico o cómo disfrutar de un concierto.
