Salta, Saltiró! Les Aventures d'en Sol i en Fa arises as a continuation of the work proposal started in my first book Contes al piano.
The intention of the story is to give life to the characters through music. By painting the various scenes in this story with a sound we help mischievous pianists, small and not so small, to develop their expressive imagination, and to make it possible to carry out careful work on the pianistic gesture, inspired by both the character of each character and in their actions.
In accordance with this objective, the discovery of new sounds (tone scales, pentatonic scales, shades, and chromaticism) is linked, in each of the pieces, to a small technical and expressive challenge: the recreation on the piano of the happy jumps the bunnies and the squirrel, the sneaky character of the fox, the delicate flight of a butterfly, the ancestral wisdom of the owl, the placid and lazy atmosphere of a nap, or the intense emotion of a chase.
With the piece Salta, Saltiró!, which as a common topic will move our protagonists to the different scenarios of the story, we will discover the investment and transportation procedures. And with the piece Chinese Shadows, we invite students to get started in improvisation and, why not, to invent their own stories.
Finally, I would like to emphasize that this book allows the world of music to be brought closer to all boys and girls, in a playful and attractive way. And is that the little ones can also enjoy the interpretation of parents, siblings, relatives and friends "pianists", or with the CD that accompanies the book.
