He received his first musical studies under the guidance of Joan Massià -piano with Maria Carbonell- Joan Llongueres and Eduard Toldrà, who signed his presentation to the public of the Palau de la Música Catalana, at the age of 13, as a composer and pianist. He works later with Joaquim Zamacois, Emili Pujol and Lluís Maria Millet. Disciple, from 1949, of Nadia Boulanger, in Paris, and later, of Igor Markevich.

His dense musical career has resulted in a multiplicity of facets: composition (1st Prize of the American Conservatory of Fontainebleau) accompaniment (the Medal of the National Conservatory of Paris), orchestra conducting, animation, dissemination and musical management, and especially teaching, without forgetting his action in the service of Catalan culture, through the Drama Association of Barcelona, ​​as secretary of Òmnium Cultural in Paris, producer of the broadcasts "'Paris, fogar of Catalan culture' 'of the French Broadcasting and lately, President of the Casal de Catalunya in Paris.

Narcís Bonet has been awarded several composition awards (Copley Foundation of Chicago, March Foundation, Prince Rainier III of Monaco) and has received numerous commissions (Festival of America-Spain, RTVE, Castellblanch Art Endowment, Ensemble Moderne de Paris, Festivals of Seville and Granada ...)

Between the positions that have exerted it is possible to mention: President of Joventuts Musicals de Barcelona, ​​Member of the "Bureau" and President of the International Federation of the Youth Musicais, representative of the Conseil the International of the Music of the UNESCO, producer of the musical programs of Emissions in Spanish Language of the French Radio, Technical Secretary of the Orchestra and Choirs of the RTVE, Music Advisor of the Art Endowment Castellblanch, member of the jury of several international piano and composition competitions.

Since 1971 he has been involved in a great pedagogical activity at the Municipal Conservatory of Paris, at the National School of Music of Créteil and, finally, at the Normal School of Music in Paris, where he will hold the position of Deputy Director, and at the American Conservatory. from Fontainebleau, where it happens in the direction of Nadia Boulanger.

Author of a Treaty of Solfeggio (Catalan d'Edicions Musicals) has collaborated with Igor Markevich in the encyclopedic edition of the 9 Symphonies of Beethoven (Editions Van de Velde).

He is currently a member of the Music Council of the Prince of Monaco Foundation and of the Commandeur in the Order of Merit Culturel of the Principality of Monaco, Member of the Council of the International Foundation "Nadia and Lili Boulanger", Director of the Association of the Normal School of Music of Paris, where he is in charge of the classes of Analysis-Choir Singing and of Harmony to the Piano, and Pedagogical Counselor of the Schola Cantorum of Paris.
